With the rapid globalization of the pharmaceuticals market, strengthening our advance in overseas markets is essential to the future development of our business.One of Seikagaku’s business priorities is to expand overseas business, particularly with regard to joint function improving agents.
Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices
The engine driving Seikagaku's overseas business is the joint function improving agent ARTZ®. Since the start of sales of ARTZAL® in Sweden in 1992, and today they are approved in 20 countries outside of Japan. ARTZ® is available with different brand names through local distributors. Since the launch in the U.S. under the name of SUPARTZ® in April 2001, its sales have successfully grown. And China is expected as one of the high-growing markets.

Bulk Products
We export a variety of raw materials, particularly chondroitin sulfate, to various countries for use in pharmaceuticals, health food products, and cosmetics.
Reagents
The unique reagents offered by Seikagaku meet the needs of glycoscience researchers, research institutions, universities and pharmaceutical companies all over the world.
We are also working to expand sales of these products through the network of our U.S. subsidiary, Associates of Cape Cod, Inc. (in Massachusetts, US).
